The trouble is that he must work hard for his bread without any joy in it. He must get up in the morning and get ready to go to work; he must come home at night; he must spend most of his time at work, putting in long hours each day. And when he does get home, he has to prepare himself for work again the next day.
It's so easy to look at things like this and say, “This life is so simple, it's just not easy!” It should be said that life is not simple because it requires hard work on our part to make it easy.
